Surreal Research

This weeks project was to create a 'Surreal' concept
I wasn't sure what kind of thing to do with this research as most surreal stuff creeps me out.
The first person I researched was MC Escher - I like his work because there are different ways of looking at it. Like this one looks like its going straight out but if you look further up its going horizontal.
The next image is Salvador Dalis swans and elephants. I like this one because it is a subtle bit of surrealism.
The image underneath is something I like the thought of doing, having a normal everyday object larger than a human. I think it looks really good.
The next image is another Salvador Dali piece - I dislike his colour scheme - but I like this one because of the story behind it.
I thought the next image was quite interesting, having the coke logo melt off and the cars looking like little ducks.
This is another photography piece that I liked, it is really interesting when the human is bigger than objects.
The next image is a little creepy but I thought it looked really good.
This image was quite cool, having the cards that large, the only bad thing about it is that with the cards in that position you wouldn't add another card on top.
This image was quite an interesting one, having the water floating like that.
This image was a little bit strange I am not sure what it is trying to do but it is very well done.
Although this is photo manipulation I think it looks brilliant, a little gloomy but very well done. Gives the piece feeling.
This is a painting of the centaur - although this one is based of a myth it is still surreal because you wouldn't have a cow and an human blended together.
I thought this picture was cool, a zip unveiling the desert from the water.
This picture is my favourite I like the photo manipulation - how the road blends so well into the grass and that it looks like he is dragging a sheet.
I will now go and do some sketches.
